The Meta Quest 3 comes with a physical IPD adjustment wheel. Unlike the Quest 2 which you need to adjust the IPD by moving the lens housing from side to side, with the Quest 3 this mechanism is absent.
If you look at the top image, you can see that I marked the physical IPD adjustment wheel in a red circle. You can scroll it left and right and you can see the adjustment value while wearing the headset.
The range of the IPD ranges from 53–75mm.
Here are some additional tips for adjusting your IPD on the Quest 3:
- Look at an object in the distance and close one eye.
- Slide the IPD adjustment wheel until the object appears sharp and centered in your open eye.
- Repeat the process with your other eye.
- Once you have adjusted your IPD, you should not need to adjust it again unless you change your glasses or contacts.
