Today I posted my review of VR Blast, a new VR game for Oculus Quest & Quest 2 (Meta Quest 2, the new brand name).
VR Blast, available via App Lab as of the time of making this video, is a rogue-lite arcade shooter with color-matching mechanics.
You need to use guns to shoot color blocks if they have match colors near them. Shooting a single color without a matching one will cause it to turn into a block that is indestructible, at least until you unlock the Revolver which can shoot it down.
you need to survive until the timer runs out, by that I mean, not letting the blocks ramp up to the ceiling, or else you lose.
There are many powerups that can help you survive, and other weapons and utilities which you’ll unlock after you finish your run. By that I mean fail.
Failing means, starting from Level 1, from the very beginning. That being said, you do get to keep your unlocked gear. However, no in-between levels upgrades will be maintained, which will be completely erased in the next run.
It’s a really fun color-matching virtual reality (VR) game for Meta Quest 2 which I highly recommend trying out. If you enjoy playing color-matching games, love FPS games, love roguelite games and love VR—you’ll enjoy playing it.
