I was so frustrated after playing as a tank (mainly Roadhog) and getting Bronze 5 at the end of the ranking matches. I thought there is no way that after playing so well I would rank the lowest rank in Overwatch 2, which is Bronze 5.
It seems that after posting a YouTube video about it, there are many other Overwatch 2 players, who were ranked high in OW1 and are very good players, got a Bronze ranking 5, or ranked much lower than they expected.
There might be an issue with the ranking system in Overwatch 2 that leads to low ranking. It might take some of your performance indicators in Overwatch 2 into account, but in a way that it can highly affect your current ranking in OW2. And I know, what if you are a new player and never played OW1, what happened if you took a long break (maybe a year or more) and got back just to be punished for your previous Overwatch 1 results?
There are probably many things taken into account, but the Overwatch 2 ranking results are absolutely outrageous.
Blizzard needs to address this. I played a few matches in Bronze 5 afterward, this is not where I belong. Some OW2 players even played and won many matches in Bronze 5 and didn’t even rank up to Bronze 4.
There is an issue and I won’t continue playing until this is addressed.
