I’ve tried to spend more time learning Valorant, getting better at it but I don’t enjoy it. The reason is players are so toxic it’s just not fun playing with others.
It happens almost every game that things go wrong, regardless of how bad the other players are playing. It’s so frequent, that I just feel that I play a game that was designed around toxicity than playing an FPS game.
I can mute other people, but I don’t want to as I know that information is crucial in this game. If I had to mute everyone, I better off not playing the game alltogether—and that’s what I did.
People curse, and then will curse your entire family and bring all their curse dictionary until the end of the game. They will ask you where you are from, and try to put all their racism on you in full bruteforce.
This is how bad it is. A game that is so reliant on sharing quick information with other teammates turned into an ego battlefield where people don’t have control over what they are saying.
It is so bad that I even fall into that trap. But because I don’t want to, and not enjoying playing like this, I decided to stop playing the game.
Now, you can say, just report the players–but as I said, it’s so frequent that it just seems pointless. People are nice in the first 30 seconds, when something “bad” happens, they just unleash their fury on out without mercy.
It happens once in a while when I say I am a newbie that people do understand, but most don’t. I know that in competitive games there are lots of egos involved. People can easily throw out curses because they don’t care as they are anonymous.
It’s better to find people to play as a group but I am still not in a situation where I want to put the effort in playing regularly in a group—what most players one—constant group.
It feels bad and it’s not the first time that it happened. However, I always go in after some time because I want to enjoy the game, but the reality always hits me hard every time I do it. I don’t want to fall into that type of behavior nor want to be in a situation that I play a game with such toxic players.
Overall, disappointed and living Valorant for another game, which I enjoy much less.
