After finishing watching the 2 EU and NA Valorant First Strike finals, I can say in confidence that Valorant established itself as one of the more exciting FPS esports to watch.
I think Riot Games couldn’t ask for a better tournament outcome to show how fun and exciting matches in Valorant can become. The same goes for the two final matches, in EU it was Heretics vs SUMN and in North America, it was 100T vs TSM.
Heretics won versus SUMN and 100 Thieves won against TSM. Both matches were intense and very entertaining to watch.
I didn’t know how much I’ll enjoy watching a Valorant tournament. I expected it to be much more watchable than Overwatch due to its slower pace gameplay and indeed it turned out to be amazing to watch.
I can’t wait for 2021 for more tournaments and see more of these amazing teams playing against each other.
