Searching for a Predecessor hero tier list to know which are the top heroes you should play in each role or lane or lane, including support, ADC, jungle, mid-lane, or duo-lane? — This video I made shows my top hero tier list so you can so my rank list and see which one I see as the best (S-tier/A-tier).
S-tier and A-tier Predecessor Heroes
The meta right now, at least as of patch 0.2.3, Grux, Steel, and Riktor are leading the pack.
S-Tier Predecessor Hero List
Riktor alongside Dekker is among the strongest support heroes. Grux is the best for solo lane and can deal with any other hero and become super strong mid to late-game. All of these heroes can also be played in the Jungle as well, and they are very good at that role.
Steel with his incredible durability can be devastating toward mid-game, especially if focus on amplifying his damage. This makes him super durable and his ability to deal damage allows him to prolong the fight, exhaust his opponent’s resources and win fights. This is why those are positioned in S-tier.
In the Predecessor S-Tier list we can find:
- Riktor
- Steel
- Grux
A-Tier Predecessor Hero List
In Predecessor A-tier we can see a list of formidable heroes that are proven to be very strong picks. If a ban will be introduced, we can definitely see some of those heroes being banned early on in the hero ban/selection phase. Although as of the time of making this article and as of patch 0..3, there is no ranked mode in Predecessor.
In this list, we can find:
- Murdock
- Crouch
- Rampage
- Drongo
- Sparrow
- The Fey
- Dekker
- Countess
Rampage has also proven to be a very powerful jungle, very durable and you probably saw him being able to fight inside the tower after activating his ultimate ability. Some even use him as support with great success (I haven’t tried it yet).
Mid-Lane Best Hero Tier List
The top meta heroes right now for mid-lane are: The Fey, Countess and Howitzer (also known as Howie for short). Countess has the ability to heal alongside strong range attack and pocking capability, making her very strong both early in lane stages and in all stages towards mid to late game. She can also Jungle as well, although other picks have proven to be stronger in general.
Howie’s ability to zone out enemies and strong ult makes him devastating against a single target. He can pock from a distance and can lead to lots of early mid-lane kills.
I personally favor The Fey among all of them, due to her amazing ultimate ability which is great in team fights and single targets and her ability to combo burst damage like no other. She is really the edge of the spear in mid-lane and still very strong as of the latest patch. I don’t see her being nerfed anytime soon. Remember, she lacks mobility, which makes her an easy target, which is a trade-off in that aspect.
Jungle Best Hero Tier List
The jungle has some amazing heroes. But we can see that more and more players prefer ditching Khaimera in favor of Rampage, Grux and even go with Steel or Countess. Still, Khaimera is a solid pick but he relies on his cleanse and good timing to nurse damage and get a quick kill, which can be, especially towards mid to late game, easily disturbed and lose his tempo.
Regarding, Kallari, she is very strong in the right hands but relies a lot on her invisibility (cloaking). Once you know her location, you can easily strategize and eliminate her as she is very squishy, but has good mobility as well and can cloak again to disappear.
However, if you use certain revealing items, she can be detected and countered quite easily. Having said that, don’t feed a Kallari, she is one of the more devastating heroes if fed in early to mid-game.
Support Best Hero Tier List
I play a lot of support, I liked that role although not many do. That said, I think that Riktor and Dekker are by far the best support heroes as of the latest patch.
Riktor has great maneuverability, his hook can lead to easy kills early on alongside the ADC. He can move fast between lanes with his movement speed ability to help support other lanes and get back to battle and teamfights.
His ult can be devastating in team fights, although positioning is important to nail right.
Dekker has the best CC, with her ability to stun and cage enemies, and can easily single out key enemies for fast elimination.
