In this post, I want to share a video I made about what are my favorite videos games of all time and list 50 of them here in this blog post. These are games that I played since I was a kid until today, 2022.
The criteria are based on different aspects, including those games that influenced me the most as a gamer, games that brought me to play a specific genre of games, immersion, memorable gameplay experience, fun, innovation, inspiration, and all mixed with a bit of nostalgia.
Games like King’s Quest, Maniac Mansion, and Space Quest were the ones that made me love adventure games. Bubble Bobble, Frogger, and Spy vs. Spy are once that made me love casual games. The Bard’s Tale and Baldur’s Gate made me love RPG games and Guantlet (1985) was the game that made me start playing Dungeon Crawler games and since then I never stopped enjoying these types of games.
Every one of us has our own top favorite games that we enjoy best. It’s totally subjective and what I consider The Best video game ever made, you might consider a bad game.
When it comes to the top classic retro games, there are retro games that I still enjoy playing today, while others lost their appeal but still are so memorable that I’ll never forget them.
