If you encounter an “Unable to Sync” error message on Steam when trying to launch a game, there are a few things you can try to solve it.
Basically, Steam tried to connect online to the cloud to make sure your local save files are in sync for a particular game you try to run. If it failed to connect and sync the file, it will throw this warning message.
You can still maybe run the app, but you might lose a save or all progression in-game altogether.
