Yesterday I decide to change my Meta Quest 2’s virtual environment (home screen) to that of Minecraft one. Although these are not official, they look great and I prefer them to the one I currently use. I am a Minecraft fan after all.
I made a quick video guide showing the steps you need to do in order to install Minecraft home screens on your VR headset with a few steps using the SideQuest Windows app.
You have two options to install Minecraft Virtual Environments on Quest 2 using SideQuest: Easy Installer and Advanced Installer.
Using the advanced installer you’ll install SideQuest on your Windows desktop or laptop and connect your headset via a wireless connection or using the Oculus VR link cable. The second, ‘Easy Installer’ you’ll let sideQuest install itself as an app on the Meta Quest 2 VR headset.
The second one is more convenient to install Minecraft Home Screens, as you won’t need your Windows laptop anymore and you can install any Virtual Environment directly from within the SideQuest app itself.
Good luck.
