GORN Gameplay is Great on Oculus Quest 2

Today I played GORN on my Oculus Quest 2 VR headset for the first time. It’s actually the first time I play the game but I’ve heard about it before.

It was initially a PCVR game but was ported to the Quest 2 a few days ago.

It’s a melee fighting virtual reality game where you play as a gladiator trying to beat your enemies inside a small arena.

There are plenty of weapons and items to use during battles. The game has cartoony visuals and infusedwith comical character appearances and animations.

I just started playing and I am having a blast. The movement mechanics are spot on, feels like slow running in place. You have the option to rotate your character using a stick or just enjoy room-scale rotation by just rotating your body in place to face a certain direction.

The game is intensive as you’ll be needing to hit enemies hard and/or fast and always watch your back. Also moving fast require fast hand forwards/backwards movement, which means good workout as well.

Although many say that graphics on the PC is better, for this game I don’t think it’s matters a lot, mainly for its cartoony look.

If you love fighting games, you’ll love this one in VR. It plays well on the Oculus Quest 2 with great frame rates and smooth controls.

This is one of the better Virtual Reality (VR) games I’ve played on the quest. It’s fun tearing up enemies literally to pieces and watch their funny reactions. It’s very entertaining game that doesn’t take itself to seriously, and why you’ll have a blast playing it, although it’s not the most challenging ones out there.

If you want to burn calories and lose weight, you’ll enjoy this game as well. It might not be as intensive as The Thrill Of The Fight–a VR boxing game–but it’s intensive enough to burn between 6-8 calories a minute.

Overall, highly recommended VR game for the Oculus Quest 2 that worth every dollar paid– Get It!
