Captain ToonHead Game Review (Quest 2)

Today I’ve played the VR Tower Defense/FPS hybrid game called Captain ToonHead vs the Punks from Outer Space.

A charming cartoony tower defense game–part FPS. I played it on the Oculus Quest 2 (Meta Quest 2).

What I love about Captain ToonHead is that it is almost perfectly designed for VR. It features easy-to-use controls. Aside from some disorienting issues on structure spawn and hand fatigue before upgrading my weapon to auto shooting, everything else was well designed.

The game accompanies a Borderland-ish type of look and humor, part Guardian of the Galaxy vibes as well.

As you progress and save moe cubes, you’ll be able to upgrade your items and become more powerful—needed to be able to complete more challenging levels.

There is a nice mixture of enemies, each one with its own unique attributes and behavior. Some fly, some move fast, others regenerate the health of other enemies, some have unique weak points, some are big and have tons of HP.

Overall, I fantastic tower defense VR game for those who love first-person shooting games and want to enjoy a unique and well-made hybrid that played fantastically in VR—Highly Recommended.
