ForeVR Darts is a new VR game or Meta Quest 2, from ForeVR Games, the same developer that brought us the amazing VR bowling ball, ForeVR Bowl. An amazing party game for the whole family (PEGI 3), for kids and their parents and friends playing locally or online.
This time, we’ll be playing Darts, which supports Double Out (501, 301) in public multiplayer or casual with 501, 301, 201 and 101 modes in single player, Pass-and-Play or a private room with friends.
Because it’s a VR Darts game, you can play it in sitting, standing and roomscale mode as you find fit.
Not just that, the is playable in either the Oculus Touch or using the Quest 2 built-in Hand Tracking. The game is palatable on both Quest and Quest 2 headsets.
Simulation & Arcade Darts Gameplay Experience
ForeVR Darst can be played (depends on the hall) in realistic/simulation mode or with aim assist. this depends on the match difficulty you choose. Aim assist makes it easier to aim, while the simulation tries to mimic the realistic darts throw experience like in real life.
So basically, if you are inexperienced or expert, you’ll enjoy playing this VR Darts game.
ForeVR Darts also support party voice chat so you can talk and communicate with those whom you play with. Alternatively, you can just compete against AI opponents if you don’t find friends available to play with you.
Unlock Cool-looking Darts
As you progress, you’ll gain XP and level up, gain coins that enable you to unlock cool new unique Darts. Each dart has its own weight which affects its flight physics and looks, visual effects, and sound.
You can even enjoy playing a mini-game to pop balloons in the lobby and test out the different darts before you unlock them. You can put 3 darts in your play-bag in total when you compete, so choose wisely.
Social Game for Kids & Adults Alike
What I really like about ForeVR Darts, same as Bowl–is that this game is for everyone. It’s a recommended game for parents to play with their young kids, to friends to play with other friends who come over (you can play multiplayer locally with the same Oculus Quest headset), play online against other people as well.
The aim-assist makes it more accessible to children while being attractive to more expert Darts players who might want to have a more realistic simulation experience.
Where to Download ForeVR Darts VR Game for Quest/Quest 2?
ForeVR (Pronounced: ‘Forever’) is available to download via the Oculus Store for Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2 (previously Quest and Quest 2).
I highly recommend playing the game. It has great replay value and for just a $9.99 release price, it’s definitely worth it.
You can also use the jukebox to play some music from YouTube and feel like you are socializing outdoors. Great game for Covid times with all the outdoor restrictions going on–if you prefer not being in indoor environments and still want to have fun with friends.
I personally recommend playing with a controller as the Quest 2 hand-tracking is far from being perfect. But you can give it a try and see if you like it, if not, you can always grab the Oculus Touch controllers and play that way, which works amazing.
The size of the game is 1.43 GB. Internet connection is required. Rated as ‘Comfortable’ on the Oculus Store. Released on December 13, 2021.
