Palworld 1.0 includes a massive selection of weapons, ranging from traditional bows and spears to powerful assault rifles, rocket launchers, and futuristic energy weapons. However, the Legendary versions represent the highest possible rarity available for most weapon types.
Legendary weapons generally offer considerably better damage, durability, and overall performance than their standard counterparts. They can also be extremely expensive to craft, especially once the game begins demanding large quantities of advanced endgame materials.
In this showcase, I tested the Legendary version of every weapon currently available in Palworld 1.0 so you can see how each one looks, fires, and performs during actual gameplay.

Legendary Melee Weapons
Palworld’s melee arsenal has expanded considerably since the game’s original release.
The Legendary melee category includes different swords, blades, clubs, and other close-range weapons. Although melee combat is usually riskier than using firearms, some of these weapons can deliver impressive damage without consuming ammunition.
They can be especially useful while exploring weaker areas, clearing basic enemies, or conserving valuable ammunition for harder encounters.
However, melee weapons require you to remain close to the target. Against powerful raid bosses or enemies with dangerous area attacks, that limitation can make even a Legendary melee weapon difficult to use consistently.
Legendary Spears
Spears provide greater reach than most conventional melee weapons, allowing you to attack enemies from a slightly safer distance.
The higher damage and durability of Legendary spears make them much more practical than their lower-rarity versions. Some also have distinctive designs that make them worth collecting even when they are not part of your primary combat build.
They remain situational, but players who enjoy close-range combat may find spears more comfortable than shorter swords or clubs.
Legendary Bows and Crossbows
Bows are among Palworld’s earliest weapon types, but their Legendary versions can remain useful much later than expected.
They offer quiet attacks, reusable ammunition options in some situations, and a more deliberate style of combat. Their slower rate of fire means that accuracy and weak-point hits are particularly important.
Crossbows provide heavier individual shots, although their reload speed prevents them from matching the sustained damage of automatic firearms.
These weapons are unlikely to replace top-tier guns during the hardest endgame battles, but they remain interesting alternatives for challenge runs, themed builds, or players who prefer traditional weapons.
Legendary Pistols
Pistols offer a strong balance between mobility, ammunition efficiency, reload speed, and damage.
They are easy to use while moving and can handle many normal enemies without forcing the player to spend more expensive rifle or heavy-weapon ammunition. Legendary pistols make this weapon class considerably more viable, particularly for exploration and general combat.
Their main limitation is sustained damage. During longer boss encounters, rifles and other high-capacity weapons will normally outperform them.
Legendary Shotguns
Shotguns are devastating at close range.
The Legendary versions improve their already strong burst damage, making them excellent for large targets, aggressive enemies, and situations where you can safely fight at close distance.
Their effectiveness drops rapidly as the distance from the target increases. This makes positioning extremely important. Against enemies that constantly move, fly, or create dangerous attacks around themselves, maintaining the correct range can become difficult.
When used under the right conditions, however, Legendary shotguns are among the most satisfying weapons in Palworld.
Legendary Assault Rifles
Assault rifles remain some of the most dependable weapons in the entire game.
They provide rapid fire, manageable recoil, good range, and consistent damage against almost every type of enemy. The Legendary versions increase that performance even further and can become reliable choices for difficult bosses and extended combat encounters.
Their biggest disadvantage is ammunition consumption. Continuous firing can rapidly drain your supply, so maintaining a strong ammunition-production setup becomes increasingly important.
For players looking for one weapon that performs well in most situations, a Legendary assault rifle remains one of the safest options.
Legendary Sniper Rifles
Sniper rifles are designed around powerful, accurate single shots.
They perform best when targeting enemy weak points from a safe distance. The Legendary versions reward careful aim with extremely high burst damage, particularly before an enemy has reached the player.
Their slow firing speed makes missed shots costly. They are also less convenient once enemies begin moving aggressively or fighting at close range.
A sniper rifle is therefore better used as a precision weapon rather than a universal solution for every encounter.
Legendary Gatling Guns and Heavy Firearms
Heavy automatic weapons focus on sustained damage.
Their large ammunition capacity allows players to keep firing for much longer than conventional rifles. This can be extremely effective against large bosses that remain exposed for extended periods.
The trade-off is usually mobility, handling, ammunition cost, or reload time. These weapons can feel excessive against ordinary enemies, but they become far more valuable during demanding endgame battles.
They are designed for players who care more about maintaining pressure than conserving resources.
Legendary Rocket Launchers
Rocket launchers deliver some of the highest burst damage available from a conventional weapon.
They are particularly effective against grouped enemies and large targets because of their explosive area damage. Legendary versions make every successful hit even more destructive.
The drawbacks are significant. Rockets are expensive, reloads are slow, and firing too close to your target can be dangerous. Fast-moving enemies can also cause rockets to miss completely, wasting valuable ammunition.
These weapons are best reserved for situations where their enormous damage is genuinely needed.
Legendary Energy and Futuristic Weapons
Palworld’s advanced weaponry introduces a more futuristic side to its combat system.
Energy-based rifles, beam weapons, launchers, and other late-game equipment often feature unique firing effects and unusual attack patterns. Some focus on concentrated single-target damage, while others fire spreads, beams, projectiles, or explosive energy attacks.
These are among the most visually impressive weapons in the game, but they can also require some of the rarest materials and ammunition types.
Their unusual mechanics mean that raw attack power does not always reveal how effective they will feel during real combat. Fire rate, projectile behavior, reload time, range, and accuracy can all dramatically change their practical performance.
Legendary Weapons Are Not Automatically the Best Choice
A Legendary weapon represents the strongest rarity of that particular weapon, but that does not mean every Legendary weapon is equally effective.
A lower-damage firearm with a fast reload and high fire rate may outperform a much stronger weapon that fires slowly. A shotgun may produce enormous damage at close range but become nearly useless against a distant flying enemy. A powerful launcher may destroy normal enemies instantly while being too expensive to use regularly.
The best weapon depends on several factors:
- The enemy you are fighting
- Your preferred combat distance
- Ammunition availability
- Reload speed
- Weak-point accuracy
- Player attack bonuses
- Accessories, implants, and passive effects
- Whether you are exploring or fighting an endgame boss
This is why seeing the weapons in action can be more helpful than simply comparing the numbers displayed in the inventory.
Are Legendary Weapons Worth Crafting?
For your most frequently used weapon types, the answer is generally yes.
The improvement can be substantial, especially when upgrading from a common or uncommon version. Legendary weapons can make normal combat faster and provide the additional damage needed for difficult bosses.
However, crafting every Legendary weapon is more appropriate for collectors and players who have already developed a strong endgame resource economy.
Many require expensive materials, advanced ammunition, and lengthy production times. It therefore makes sense to prioritize the weapons that complement your build before crafting everything else.
Final Thoughts
Palworld 1.0 now offers a surprisingly diverse collection of Legendary weapons.
Some are practical tools capable of carrying a player through difficult endgame encounters. Others are more experimental, situational, or simply enjoyable to collect and test.
The strongest weapon on paper will not necessarily become your favorite. Handling, range, ammunition cost, firing effects, and compatibility with your build can matter just as much as the displayed damage number.
