Hey everyone, SpookyFairy here! In today’s video, we take a deep dive into the new “Lightning Throw” rune and see if it can live up to the hype in the Crucible.
Lightning Throw in Action:
Let’s be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect with this new rune. So, I slapped it on my trusty Rapier and dove headfirst into the Crucible to see what it could do.
The results were… interesting. Lightning Throw definitely shines against those pesky shielded enemies. It straight-up staggers them, leaving them open for a beatdown. Talk about a party crasher! But against unshielded foes and bosses? Well, let’s just say the party ended pretty quick.
The damage output felt a bit lackluster.
Lightning Throw vs. The Cold Crew:
Speaking of stopping power, how can we not compare it to the classic “Frost Throw” rune? Let’s face it, Cold’s been a Crucible champion for a while now, and for good reason. That freeze duration is no joke. While Lightning Throw disrupts, Cold straight-up shuts them down. Gotta say, Frost might still be the king of crowd control for now.
But Here’s the Thing…
Just because my initial tests weren’t mind-blowing, doesn’t mean Lightning Throw is a total wash. There’s always potential waiting to be unearthed! I’m planning on doing some more experimenting. Different weapons, different bosses – the whole nine yards. Who knows, maybe Lightning Throw just needs the right combo to unleash its true power!
